How to Unlock an iPhone (Anywhere in the World)

If you have an iPhone, can read instructions carefully and want an unlocked iPhone to work in Australia (or Europe, Asia, Africa), read the unlocking steps below to enjoy your newly unlocked Apple iPhone.

This is not the usual random jargon. Please read it.

If you are reading this and want your iPhone unlocked, there are some things you should know before you perform or attempt anything on this site. There are obviously risks involved - carefully consider what you are going to do - warranty may be void and you may end up with an iPhone that doesn't work. The instructions below have worked for everyone we know, but we still can't guarantee you success.

* This site is not for those uncomfortable around computers. If you aren't sure about something on here, then I recommend stopping what you are doing and wait for the actual iPhone to come out in Australia.

* You risk voiding your warranty.

* Any modifications you perform on your iPhone, including bypassing activation, will be reset if you should install a firmware update provided by Apple. It's a simple matter of redoing everything you previously did to get your iPhone back the way you had it once you update.

* Read the instructions. Read it ALL so you know what is going on.

* We are not responsible for your results if they are less than what you expected. You assume all risks.

Step 1: Preparation

This whole tutorial is starting from the unboxing, all the way to making your first call on your unblocked iPhone. Firmware is based on >> 1.0.2 ONLY << - if you have different firmware, please contact us.

1. Open the iPhone box.

2. Take the iPhone out. (Looks nice doesn't it?)

3. Check the firmware. Make sure it is version 1.0.1 or 1.02

You can check what firmware is preinstalled by going to the emergency call, entering *3001#12345#* then pressing "Call". Under Versions you will find what revision firmware is on the phone out of the box.

03.12.06_G Is firmware 1.0.0
03.14.08_G Is firmware 1.0.1 and 1.02
04.01.13_G Is 1.1.1
04.02.04_G and 04.02.13_G Is 1.1.2

If it is not 1.02, you will be able to change this by restoring. There is also a more likely chance that it is 1.0.1. We recommend updating it anyway. These steps will follow.

4. Download the following files. We've made it easy for you and labelled and organised them into neat folders :)
